Pick Your Battle
Paintball Game Types
Every group at UWZ plays a mix of game types throughout the day. Our staff picks the best modes for your group size and experience level. Here's what you can expect.
Elimination
The most popular game type. Two teams start on opposite sides of the field. The goal: eliminate every player on the other team.
Critical hit rules: A hit to the torso or head and you're out. Limb shots (arms, legs) don't count — you stay in and keep playing. This rewards accuracy and makes games last longer.
Capture the Flag
Each team has a flag at their base. The objective: grab the enemy flag and bring it back to your side. You'll need a balance of offense and defense — send everyone after the flag and no one's left to guard yours.
Critical hit rules apply. A torso or head hit eliminates you. Limb shots keep you in the game.
Freeze Tag
Get hit anywhere and you're frozen in place. A teammate can unfreeze you by tagging your shoulder. The game ends when an entire team is frozen at the same time.
Rounds are fast — typically 5 minutes. This game type keeps everyone involved because frozen players can be brought back in. Great for younger groups and first-timers.
King of the Hill
A marked zone sits at the center of the field, outlined with color cones. Teams fight for control of the zone. The team with the most players inside the zone when time runs out wins.
Rounds last 5 minutes. Any hit eliminates you. This mode is pure chaos — fast-paced, aggressive, and a favorite for competitive groups.
