KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Field Rules

Same rules for every player.

Takes two minutes. Your ref covers everything in person before your first game.

EVERY PLAYER

The Rules

Paintball at UWZ is straightforward. You gear up, get a safety briefing from your ref, and head to the field. We run 8-10 games per hour across three outdoor courses, with a dedicated ref on every field keeping things moving.

Every player follows the same rules, whether this is your first game or your hundredth. They keep the games fair and everyone safe. Your ref covers all of this in person before your first round, but reading them now means fewer surprises on game day.

Urban War Zone is an FPO (field paint only) facility for all players.
ASTM masks are required at all times inside the playing areas.
Barrel socks must be worn at all times outside the playing areas.
Yell "hit," "out," or raise your hand to signal you're out of the game.
When hit, put on your barrel sock, walk off with your marker pointed down and one hand raised.
All participants must be at least 10 years old. No exceptions.
Fighting results in immediate dismissal and a permanent ban.
UWZ is family friendly. No cussing or offensive behavior.
Reusable paint must bear a park manager's recognized signature and be in good condition.
Do not overshoot players who have already been hit.
No alcohol on property.
All participants agree to abide by these and other posted rules.

What does FPO mean?

Field paint only. All paintballs used on our fields are purchased here. We test every batch for consistency and break-on-impact reliability before it hits the field. Outside paint can cause jams, bounces, or inconsistent breaks.

FOR ALL PLAYERS

Code of Conduct

UWZ is a first-timer friendly environment. We take that seriously.

If you're an experienced player, dial it back against beginners. Lower your rate of fire, don't chase them down, and give new players room to learn the game. Remember what your first game felt like.

We don't tolerate abuse of new players. Every guest signs a code of conduct at check-in. If someone isn't following the rules, tell a ref.

Not sure about something? Ask any ref or park manager. We'd rather answer a question twice than deal with a problem once.

Every player needs a signed waiver. Do it from your phone before you show up.
